Insightful Reflections on Building a Business with the Perfect Blend of Mindset, Faith, and Strategy

Have you ever had a deep longing to create something? Maybe it’s an idea that’s been tugging at your heart for months, or even years. It’s there, quietly nudging you in the background, waiting for the right moment to come to life. I know that feeling so well. It’s that beautiful yet slightly terrifying thought that just won’t go away—the one that keeps whispering, "What if?"
For me, it was my book The Confident Woman Manifesto. It was supposed to be out last year, but I put it on hold. Fear and doubt crept in, making me question if the timing was right, if the world needed my words, or if I was even good enough to write them. So, I paused. I kept waiting for the "perfect" moment.
But you know what? Life doesn’t wait for perfect. Tomorrow is never guaranteed.
I remember a conversation with a family member that truly shifted my perspective. He asked me, “So, Myla, what’s really stopping you from publishing that book that you wrote?” And I realized that the only thing standing in my way was fear...
But that conversation also reminded me of something incredibly important: our time here is limited.
The words, “Tomorrow might be too late,” echoed in my mind. That was the moment I realized I had to take action, even if things weren’t perfect.
That’s when I decided to move forward with my journal. I chose to create and publish a journal first because I wanted to start with something small, heartfelt, and simple—something I could pour myself into without it feeling overwhelming. I didn’t want to wait for another few months or get stuck in the complexity of a bigger project. I wanted to seize the moment and make something tangible that I could share with the world right away.
Journaling has always been such a big part of me, a practice that’s grounded me through life’s ups and downs. It has been a lifeline for me, a space where I could pour out the things I was too afraid to speak out loud... a safe haven to express my fears, my hopes, my confusion, and my pain, without judgment.
In those moments when I felt completely overwhelmed or lost, putting pen to paper helped me process the emotions that I couldn’t even fully understand. Each word became a step toward clarity and peace, a way to untangle the knots of worry and fear that had built up in my heart.
Through journaling, I found a sense of release—like I could let go of the weight I was carrying. It wasn’t just about writing down my thoughts; it was about making space for healing. It was about gaining clarity on what truly mattered—figuring out where my life was headed, what I was meant to do, and the kind of future I wanted to create for myself.
My journal became a mirror that reflected my growth and a tool that helped me move forward, even when I didn’t feel ready. Now, when I revisit the pages of my journals from years ago, I can see how far I've come.
It’s this healing power that I want to share with others, so they too can find that same sense of peace and transformation.
I truly believe in its power to transform our thoughts, our hearts, and our lives. So, I thought, why not share that part of me with others? Why not encourage others to embrace the practice that has given me so much clarity and peace?
Now, I’m just a few short weeks away from releasing my first journal into the world, and while it’s not perfect, it’s real. It’s raw. It’s from my heart. And that, I’ve learned, is what truly matters. We don’t need to wait until everything is flawless to create something beautiful. Often, our most meaningful creations come from those imperfect, messy parts of us—the ones we’re scared to let the world see.
Conclusion
So, my friend, if there’s something that’s been haunting you—an idea, a dream, a project—don’t let fear keep you from sharing it with the world. Don’t wait for the perfect moment, because perfection is an illusion. What really matters is that you bring your creation into the light, trusting that what’s in your heart was placed there for a reason.
Maybe it’s time to take that leap of faith and see what unfolds.
Creating my journal wasn’t just about putting pages together; it was a journey of trust, of faith, and of finally letting go of the fear of what others might think. It was about believing that what I have to share, even in its imperfect form, is valuable and can touch lives. I want to encourage you to do the same with whatever is in your heart.
I don’t know what’s ahead for this journal or how it will evolve, but I trust that God has plans for it, just as He has plans for you and your creations. So, don’t wait. Don’t keep it hidden inside, hoping one day the stars will align. The time to create is now. While we’re here, while we have the breath in our lungs, we have the opportunity to contribute something meaningful to this world.
And believe me, the world needs what you have to offer.
Let’s take this journey together. Let’s create, despite the imperfections. Let’s share what’s in our hearts, even when it feels vulnerable. And let’s trust that, in the process, we’re walking a path that leads to something beautiful.
Stay tuned—my journal will be available soon, and I can’t wait to share it with you! But more importantly, I can’t wait to see what you will share with the world.
